Kathryn Lackey transforms personal pain into purpose, guiding women to reclaim their lives after a partner’s addiction. A seasoned designer and entrepreneur, she discovered design therapy while navigating the devastation of her husband’s secret double life of sexual addiction. What began as a survival job became her calling, helping others create beauty and stability in their lives.

In her book, Letters from Love’s Battlefield, Kathryn shares her deeply personal journey. She had found—and married—her “officer and a gentleman.” For years, they built a beautiful life and family, but slowly, he began to change. After two decades of marriage, she sensed something was wrong. She remained blind to the depths of his darkness until his secret life was publicly exposed. As the painful details unraveled, Kathryn’s world shattered. He faced indictment, plunging deeper into addiction before his ultimate incarceration.

Through raw, emotion-filled letters—written but never sent—she reveals the heartbreak, betrayal, and resilience that shaped her journey. Amid the pain, she found the strength to survive, protect her children, and, ultimately, heal. Now, she shares her story to help other women find hope, personal strength, and a renewed sense of self beyond a partner’s shame.

Kathryn’s healing journey was not just about survival but transformation. She found strength in forgiveness, knowledge, and faith, uncovering new opportunities for joy and purpose. Now, she empowers women to release shame, grow through their pain, and design a life aligned with God’s intention.

As the Founder and Creative Lead of Heart of the Home Styling & Designs, Kathryn merges her love for design with her passion for helping others. A Journalism graduate from the University of South Carolina, she understands the power of storytelling in shaping lives. While her career is a significant part of her journey, she considers her greatest achievement raising her two children alone after addiction tore their family apart.

In 2024, Kathryn returns to Dallas to reconnect with family, embrace new opportunities, and continue her mission. She finds joy in time with loved ones, self-care, exercise, and volunteer ministry. With her personal story now unfolding in her debut book, Kathryn refines her life’s vision, her business, and her message of hope. She proves that even after the deepest betrayals, healing, abundance, and victory are possible.
